Organizes and implements the professional development program, Ensures integration of technology into instruction, curriculum programs, and academic progress. Facilitates the work of the Professional Learning Community to provide data driven curriculum and instruction.

Evening Security

Job Title: Evening Security
Reports to: Dean of Students
Compensation: $16.50/hour   
Hours: Up to 20 hours/week
FLSA: Part-Time Non-Exempt

Evening security personnel report directly to the Dean of Students, and are responsible for the overall security of the Garces Memorial High School (GMHS) campus to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff, and the protection of school property.  Security personnel will accomplish this through the following job duties:

Responsibilities
  Assist with security of evening school events.
  Monitor the athletic facilities and the west end of campus.
  Monitor the campus and perimeter of the campus.
  Ensure the campus is locked and secured every evening.
- Check and lock all doors campus wide.
- Check and lock all gates; internal and external.
  Report any suspicious activity to the Bakersfield Police Department and the supervising Administrator.
  Notify the supervising Administrator of any campus defects such as broken doors, gates, windows, etc.
  Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications / Experience
  Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  Experience working in educational settings is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred)
  CPR and First Aid certification.
  Training in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.

Skills
  Strong observational and surveillance skills.
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  Ability to handle emergencies and make quick decisions.
  Integrity and professionalism.
  Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.
  Patience and a calm demeanor in stressful situations.

Physical Requirements
  Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  Physically capable of performing security-related tasks, including pursuing and restraining individuals if necessary.

Boys Water Polo Coach

Garces Memorial High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Water Polo Coach to lead our high school team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering the athletic, academic, and spiritual growth of student-athletes while upholding the values of our Catholic institution. This position involves developing training programs, strategizing for competitive play, and instilling sportsmanship and discipline among team members.

Qualifications
  Strong teamwork and teambuilding skills.
  Design game plans, practice plans, and assign positions.
  Understand aspects of health, nutrition, exercise science, and physical education, particularly as they relate to the adolescent, male athlete.
  Strong organization and administration skills, including managing the coaching staff of all levels of the program.
  Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  Strong listening skills.
  Ability to prepare and condition athletes both physically and mentally.
  Demonstrated mentoring and motivating skills, encouraging student empowerment and academic success.

Work Schedule & Compensation
  Seasonal position with practice and game commitments during the academic year.
  Compensation based on experience and school budget allocation.
