High School English Teacher

Garces High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School English Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will hold at least a Bachelor's degree in English or a related field, and we strongly prefer candidates with a teaching credential or Master's degree. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching high school students, a strong command of English language and literature, and the ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation and critical thinking.
Provide constructive feedback to students and assess their progress through various evaluation methods.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall English department and school curriculum.
Participate in school-wide events, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences.

Qualifications:

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active participation and critical thinking.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.

Garces Memorial High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction. Garces Memorial High School is a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school. Our school educates youth to fulfill the mission of Christ by developing students spiritually, academically, and socially. Our mission calls us to instill within every member of the Garces Memorial community the courage to act with faith, knowledge, compassion and justice. The fundamental purpose of our school is to continuously increase learning for all students.

To accomplish this goal, both teachers and administrators must put forth a collective effort to achieve the following:
Guide and support the faculty and staff to embrace that all students need to learn at high levels.
Learn and then share with faculty and staff research-based best practice that aligns with continuously increasing learning for all students.

Job Description:
Under the direction of the Principal, the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction serves as an educational leader of the school. The AP of Curriculum and Instruction will supervise and promote the professional development of faculty and academic staff personnel. Organizes and implements the professional development program. Ensures integration of technology into instruction, curriculum programs, and academic progress. Facilitates the work of the Professional Learning Community to provide data driven curriculum and instruction.
