Garces Memorial high school has involved students. Many of our students are on campus from 6am to 7pm and our goal is to open every opportunity for our students to succeed, In all areas of life. Our enrichment period does just this. It allows are students to become even more involved. This period consists of collaboration which is time set aside each day for our students to receive extra help with their academics. If a student missed a class for any reason, the teachers are available during the enrichment period to offer any needed assistance. Garces Memorial has always had a collaboration period but now we have expanded this period to offer more to our entire school community. The Enrichment period will also allow or clubs to be more active. This will be a time set aside that clubs can work together that is built into the school day which will allow even more students involvement. Also, during the Enrichment period once a month there will be a service component added where students get to work closely with the teacher of their choice and give back to the community. As a Catholic community, we want to give back to our community and what makes it even more powerful are the relationships built amongst peers and teachers during this Enrichment period. The Enrichment period opens the doors for our students to be developed spiritually, academically, and socially.
Our mission at Garces calls us to teach and inspire our students to be Christ-like in all they do. Their spiritual formation is paramount to their development as children of God. Christ calls us to serve others and Garces asks our students to do the same.
