Junior Julianna Escobedo began her season on the golf course on Tuesday in impressive fashion.

Julianna EscobedoEscobedo, a BVarsity All-Area first-team selection as a sophomore in 2018, shot an 12-over-par score of 84 at the 6th annual CS-T6 girls golf tournament at Buena Vista Golf Course.
Her score was the ninth best in the tournament, but tied for the second-lowest score from a Kern County golfer.

While Walnut, a Southern Section powerhouse, led the way, only Liberty’s Regan Barton (78) had a better round than Escobedo. Liberty’s Maci Mills also shot an 84.

Other Garces golfers in action Tuesday were Julia Hernandez (120), Angelika Stevens (125), Tara Miller (137) and Ava Dykes (131). 

The Rams are back in action on Monday in the first Southwest Yosemite League tournament at Bakersfield Country Club at noon.
