Four Garces Memorial senior football players signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday during a private ceremony at Sam Tobias Field.
The event was live-streamed on our Garces Memorial Sports Net. Watch the replay here.
Zach Buckey became the first Garces senior to sign to the Stanford football program, following his father’s footsteps. Jeff Buckey starred at Stanford before playing for San Francisco and Miami in the NFL.
Zion Hall signed to Cal Poly. The speed wide receiver also had an offer from Nevada.
Aidan Meek signed with Sacramento State after the Hornets coaching staff offer him this fall. Meek will play offensive line in college.
And J.J. Uphold, once considered college basketball his future, but the full-ride offer from Wyoming to play defensive tackle was too much to pass up. After living in Canada before his family moved to Bakersfield, Uphold feels right at home playing in snowy weather in Laramie.
