Garces secures all-levels sweep over Mission Oak in non-league finale

In the final tune-up before Southwest Yosemite League play begins next week, the Garces volleyball team took care of business on Wednesday.

Hosting Tulare-Mission Oak, all three levels for Garces were victorious with the varsity squad beating the Hawks (0-10) 25-22, 26-28, 25-20, 25-13.

After a heart-breaking 28-26 loss in the second set after leading 17-12, the Rams rallied to win the final two sets and are now 12-8 overall before playing at Frontier next Tuesday to open league play.

In the fourth and final set, Garces took a double-digit lead at 21-11 while Luisa Dulcich was on the serve and Caroline Napier ended it with a string of three hard kill attempts with the final hitting the court for the victory for the Rams.

Napier and Jana Dulcich led Garces with 12 kills and Mia D’Amato added eight. Ali Adkins had a team-high 15 digs while Aspen Chang chipped in with 10.

Adkins and Clarisse Tracy both had 19 assists while Jana Dulcich had four aces.

JV and F/S both swept Mission Oak, 2-0.
