Garces Memorial High School Announces
Salvucci Aquatics Center
On Tuesday, June 1, 2010, Garces Memorial High School broke ground on the Salvucci Aquatics Center. The aquatics center will include a 25 yards by 30 meters swimming pool and two one meter diving boards. Eventually, the school will add stadium seating. The shallowest end of the pool will be four and a half feet, will drop to seven feet to accommodate water polo and will be fourteen feet at the deepest end to accommodate diving. The aquatics center project manager is S.C. Anderson, the architect is Ordiz & Melby and the pool construction company is California Commercial Pools. The anticipated completion date is December 1, 2010.
The ground breaking crew consisted of Msgr. Michael R. Braun, Leigh Ann Anderson, Fr. Jim LaCasse, Frank Salvucci, Elsie Salvucci, Bill Potter, John Fanucchi, Kathleen Bears, and Ray Karpe.
